The Dundas Arms, Kintbury: Pub and Accommodation in West Berkshire
The Dundas Arms is a glorious 18th Century pub with accommodation situated in the stunning village of Kintbury, West Berkshire (recently voted one of the “Top 10 Villages in the Country” by The Times newspaper). Uniquely positioned, nestled between the Kennet & Avon Canal and the River Kennet and in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we are extremely close to the market towns of Hungerford and Newbury not to mention famous landmarks such as White Horse Hill and the popular tourist attractions of Highclere Castle and Newbury Race Course.
The Dundas Arms is now under new ownership and we are delighted to introduce ourselves to you. Do take a look at our team page to find out about us and how passionate we are about great food, drink, service and accommodation.
Over the summer of 2012 we have been working hard on a major renovation programme and we hope you will like the warm and welcoming country house look that we have given this wonderful white washed grade II listed Georgian country inn. We now offer 8 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a thriving friendly bar serving an excellent selection of real ales and classic pub dishes, fine dining in the Kennet & Garden Rooms and a private dining room. We are also delighted to announce the opening of our stunning pub garden.
The Dundas Arms Supports Local Produce
When it comes to our food, we have a strong emphasis on local seasonal produce, so you will find our menus evolving over the year, taking advantage of as many local ingredients and suppliers as possible.
Whether you are visiting to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or to partaking in one of the many outdoor leisure pursuits on offer such as shooting, walking, cycling and fishing, or are here simply seeking a relaxing, romantic weekend break, our easy access to London by both rail (Kintbury Train Station is just across the bridge) and road (the M4 is just 14 minutes away) makes the Dundas Arms the perfect venue for every occasion.
We are thrilled to be the new owners of this iconic pub and hope that you will take some time to visit us and relax in the delightful surroundings of our pub whilst sampling some of our outstanding locally sourced pub food, real ales and fine wines.
